About the Authors

Hello! I am Rachel and I am currently in my fourth year at Cal Poly. During my time here, I have immersed myself in various courses that have expanded my understanding of diverse cultures, identities, and lifestyles. I firmly believe in living authentically, irrespective of societal pressures. Gender norms permeate many aspects of our lives, from childhood toys to workplace language. By dispelling misconceptions, I seek to foster broader awareness and acceptance of diverse identities. My goal with this website is to equip others with the knowledge and awareness to challenge such stereotypes, fostering empathy, acceptance, and understanding among viewers.

Hi! My name is Giulianna Curran, and I am about to earn my Bachelor's Degree in Communication Studies at Cal Poly, although I call Kirkland, WA, home. My curiosity for diverse perspectives and experiences brings me joy in learning and sharing insights from various walks of life. Driven by a deep-seated commitment to fostering inclusivity and understanding, we embarked on the creation of this website. I believe in accepting everyone for who they are, and sometimes a lack of education is the only thing standing in the way. Through meticulous differentiation between identifiers, our aim is to champion diverse narratives and cultivate communities that celebrate authenticity and acceptance.
